So the wedding will be over soon, and I'll have plenty of things to remove from my poor computer room which has been completely dominated by wedding decor and accessories. I thought I'd share what I have in case anybody can get any use out of what I've made, bought and collected throughout my year-long planning. Feel free to contact me with any inquiries. Thank you for looking!
**Also, please note that on my header, the dress images are both from the Maggie Sottero website, Victoriana and is not my image. Also the image of the flutes are off of the Koyal website and the boutineers are from Wedideas.com. I own none of these images and are meant to show clarity. The above website mentioned are where or the designer of whom I purchased the items. I will update these images after the wedding so that you can see them while in use. Thanks!**
The DressThis is my favorite and most exciting part of the whole ordeal. I didn't have that 'crying' moment, but once I put this baby on, I didn't want to take it off!
Specs- Style: Maggie Sottero, Victoriana Color: Golden Size: 4 (I'm also a street 4) Alterations: Only color coded french bustle added, and tulle added right under the corset in the back for added 'poof'; no hem alterations. I am 5'6 and have on 5" stacked heels. (You'll see the heels a little further down) The dress with three images is shown with the bustle in. The second set of images shows the dress with the train out, don't mind the wrinkles :) I will sell after the dress has been professionally cleaned. What I paid, including alterations: $1,515.98 What I'm asking for: $850, buyer pays shipping What helped make the dress:Shoes: Kallie Sandal, Marciano, size 8; Only worn to 2 fittings and the day of the wedding. I recommend for an experienced heel-wearer :)
Paid full price of $188 when first released, only to find these bad boys on sale now for $94.95 If they run out of size 8, I'll sell mine for $55. It was really difficult finding a good match as my dress is not ivory or white. Petticoat: Size 4, with an adjustable tie. Details: This was used during my fitting (see image above)I personally didn't want the dress to be TOO full, so this is what I went with. Paid $60, asking $30 *This is a stock image from David's Bridal* |
Jewelry Details: This set was made by Agnes over at Treasures570, from Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/treasures570. She makes bridal custom jewelry and I had her customize my bracelet to match the necklace I found and loved. I paid around $170 with shipping, and will sell both for $130. I haven't showed many people but it definitely has that wow factor for the few that I have shown. :) |
Veil
I purchased this fingertip pseudo-bubble veil from Veils-of-Art.com. They are pretty awesome. It has a basic silver comb and is an ivory color, a slightly darker than a normal ivory. I wanted it to be in the same color family as my dress- which was not an easy task! I paid- $85, including shipping I'll sell for- $35 For the entire bridal outfit: -Dress -Petticoat -Shoes -Jewlery -Veil I'll sell for $975 instead of $1,100, buyer pays shipping. For the total, I wound up paying a little over $2,100 |
The FloralsMy Boquet
Details:My boquet was made by Wedideas.com. They did a lovely job, except I had to replace about 6 roses because they put almost a neon pink half dozen roses in my boquet. Why? I don't know. But I sucessfully replaced them with white ones. All flowers have a realistic look and all the roses and lilies have a latex feel. I took this picture with my phone, but will update the image after the wedding, so you can see how it photographs with professional cameras. I paid $135, Asking $75 |
Reception Decor/ Centerpieces
Details: These were my pride and joy :) I spent many weekends perfecting these centerpieces. I used to work in a silk floral shop for about 5 years, so rest assured these will hold up. Florals used are latex hydrangeas (for a realistic feel), silk roses and feather picks. The urns, although only the small urn is shown on the left, are all spray painted a glossy black to match the candlesticks. The large ones were not dry when I took the picture, so I'll add it later. The larger arrangements include a garland with added wisteria, and ostrich feathers. Quantities: 2 -tallest arrangements, and were held on pedestals for the altar decor. 5 - Candlestick arrangements 10 - Large urn arrangements 5 - small urn arrangements Total for all 22: $1200 Total for 2 altar pieces - $300 *Prices are based on cost and materials only* I have 22 arrangements for sale, including the altar decor, and prefer local pick up in Houston or surrounding areas. I also prefer not to break the set of 22. I will however, consider selling the 2 largest separately. Below is a picture of a candlestick arrangment on a 60" table of ten for proportion detail. This candlestick arrangement did not have the added feather picks prior to testing. Sorry about the mess on the right, but I thought the image on the left better shows the texture in the florals and details in the glass fixture. Ignore the urns on the right. I was toying with the idea of adding pearls, but ultimately, I wasn't crazy about the color of the urns or the look of the glue to add the pearls. If you can see, in the very right corner is a bright pink flower that was in my boquet! Lol!
